Admission
Students of the Higher Professional Schools of Graubünden in Tourism and the Hotellerie, graduates of other Swiss higher professional schools in tourism and the hotel industry as well as students with a similar educational level from abroad can be admitted to the Summer School. They need English language skills at level B2.
Transfer opportunities to the FHGR Chur
After successful completion of the Summer School, you have the unique opportunity to enter the Bachelor program at the FHGR Chur. In both full-time and part-time studies, you will earn the title «Bachelor of Science FHGR in Tourism», which is awarded after one year or three semesters, depending on the study model chosen.
Content of study
You will deepen your tourism-specific knowledge and learn how destinations, service and transport companies are successfully managed. You will learn by means of real practical examples and excursions and apply what you have learned directly in case studies.The study programme includes ideally coordinated modules and builds on the contents of the higher technical schools in tourism and the hotel industry. You will also acquire specific specialist skills and deepen your knowledge in excursions and practical projects.
Duration of study
The Summer School, which takes place over two summers, lasts four weeks and takes place from the beginning of July to the beginning of August (week 28-31).
Place of study
The Summer School takes place in Samedan in the Upper Engadine, on the campus of the HF Tourism & Management.
Tuition Fees
For students who have been resident in Switzerland or the Principality of Liechtenstein for at least two years before the start of their studies, the costs amount to CHF 1260 for the entire duration of the Summer School (CHF 960 tuition fees and a registration fee of CHF 300). For all other students, the cost is CHF 1850 for the entire duration of the Summer School (CHF 1550 tuition fees and CHF 300 enrolment fee).
